The Ammonia Storage Project brought the full extent of ICI’s capabilities into play. ICI’s scope of work involved equipment setting, HVAC, piping, process tie-points, flare stack installation, steel erection, electrical, instrumentation, and controls for the project. The process involved installation of the following pieces of equipment:
- Two stage ammonia compressors
- Interstage flash drum
- Knockout drum
- Air cooled condensers
- Shell and tube heat exchangers
- Glycol heating skid
- Loadout pumps
- Rail loadout platforms and loading arms
- MCCs
- Power and lighting panels
- Makeup air handling unit
- Control panels
- Heat trace
- Safety showers
- Vacuum breakers and pressure relief valves
