New Boiler Building

2014-2015
ICI was the General Contractor for Red Trail Energy’s New Boiler Building project. They made a fuel conversion which required a new set of boilers. ICI’s work included:
- Erection of a 76’ x 60’ pre-engineered metal building including exterior sheeting, insulation with a simple saver system, interior liner panels, doors and a control room with a mezzanine
- Setting of equipment including two 92,000# boilers, 32’ tall 4,100# stacks, 14,000# economizers and ductwork ranging from 1,800# to 4,500#
- 3,800 feet of piping including, steam, blowdown, feedwater, vent, boiler drains, sump pump, process water, compressed air and natural gas
- Electrical work included power to both boilers and the boiler building, lighting for the control room and boiler building, instrumentation and controls and heat trace of piping.
Overall it included various subcontractors and 16,000+ manhours by ICI.
